Hannah Offenburger will assume the position of Marion County Extension Office Manager on Monday.
Offenburger will replace Andy Kraber in the role, after he spent the last four years in the position on an interim basis. Kraber retired from working in the telephone industry after 41 years, and after a month out of the workforce, took a part-time job with the Extension Office. He started as Director of the Extension Office in Knoxville in September of 2019. Kraber said that he was shocked to learn what all the Extension Office does, but that it was a great four years working there.
“Before I got into extension, I had no idea that extension covered so many different properties. That really opened my eyes up to extension and it’s been a great place to work and a great experience.”
Kraber adds that he is thankful for the guidance and direction of the Marion County Extension Council over the last four years. Offenburger comes from the Lucas County Extension Office, and she will work with 4-H and adult planning in Marion County. She will manage two full-time employees and summer interns when she begins on Monday.
