Medicap Pharmacy in Indianola celebrated 40 years serving the community Friday afternoon in addition to their new location with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Indianola Chamber of Commerce. President Greg Johansen tells KNIA News looking back on 40 years in the community and seeing many familiar faces from their original opening in 1983 makes him thankful for the community support.

“Time goes by really quickly, but looking backwards 40 years is a long time as well. Without the support of the community, we wouldn’t be here. As an independent pharmacy, we’ve survived. Our competitors are huge, huge multinational companies, but we’re just us.”

The new location is 2105 N 3rd Lane in Indianola.
