Nearly 20 Pella firefighters were on the scene of a building fire in Pella Friday evening. Pella Fire Chief Randy Bogaard says multiple crews were called to the scene of a blaze at 6:27 p.m. that started in the garage of a townhouse complex at 101 Glenwood Street and spread quickly throughout. Bogaard called the building a “total loss,” but says crews were able to salvage enough of the structure to save some personal belongings of residents. No injuries were reported. Pella Ambulance and the Pella Police Department assisted on scene.
