Habitat for Humanity of Marion County will dedicate their new home for a Knoxville family tomorrow.

The project at 502 West Rock Island Street began in October of 2022, and the Knoxville High School Construction Trades Class assisted in the project by working four days a week on the new home. The house has been built for Nikki and Kenndal Cunningham. Project Manager Jay Weldon says that several features have been included in the home to make it handicap accessible.

“It’s completely zero entry for wheelchair accessibility. The main bathroom is a zero entry shower and there’s multiple shower heads and then also on the main level in the garage there will be a storm shelter.”

The dedication for the completed project is tomorrow at 9:45 a.m., and the family should be able to move in after the dedication.
