The Pella Opera House celebrated the end of its 2022-23 season and looked forward to next year at their annual gala.
Director Cyndi Atkins and Associate Director Jara Johnson says several members of the non-profit organization turned out to raise funds for their ongoing operations on June 24th. In addition to revealing their upcoming season, Atkins says they were honored to announce the promotion of Johnson to her new leadership role.
“We are so fortunate to have Jara as a valued leader at the Pella Opera House,” said Executive Director Cyndi Atkins. “She helps so much in the identification and selection of new performers at the Pella Opera House. She is also a vital part of the growth of our special programs, especially our annual Gala and the Festival of Trees.”
The 2022-23 season has a few shows remaining, including today’s BeBu Music performance at 10:30 a.m.; which is free for all to attend thanks to Vermeer Corporation, as well as the Kids Superhero Party on Saturday, July 29 at 10 a.m., with $5 tickets for kids at $10 entry for adults. Both events will be held at the Pella Opera House.
Tickets to the 2023-24 season are available to current Pella Opera House members starting this month, while the general public will have the chance after September 1st. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for updates about the upcoming season of shows and events. Find out how to become a member here.
