360-shootout

More money is on the line for the 360 drivers at the Knoxville Raceway as local fans, businesses, and rain out carry over money has resulted in the VanWall Equipment/Marion County Fair 360 Shootout this Saturday. The 360 A-Main will pay $5,000 to win and $1,000 to start and there are a handful of other special contingencies available, including $2,000 to quick time, and the Husker Hard Charger Award presented by Alan and Vicki DeHaai that will pay $1,000 to the driver who advances the most positions in the 360 A-Main. In addition, the KnoxVegas Wheel of Money Bonuses will include $1,000 to a random 360 A-Main finish position between 4th and 24th, also $1,000 to a random 360 B-Main non-transfer finish position. The wheel will be spun when the cars are pushed off onto the track so they will not know what position this will be. The total purse for Saturday’s 360 races will be $55,800 compared to the normal weekly 360 purse of $18,000. The Knoxville Raceway expects to have several 360 drivers come in to compete. Live coverage of the races on Saturday can be heard on KNIA with Live Track Side at 5:00 and Race Nights Live at 7:00.
