The Knoxville Community School District approved a proposal submitted by Bluestone Engineering for a new scoreboard at Randy Wilson Track at their meeting Monday.
The school board recently approved spending for upgrades and additions to the track. The proposal submitted in the amount of $14,000 from Bluestone Engineering will go towards the design and specifications for the new scoreboard. Knoxville Community School District Business Manager Craig Mobley said the school district has encountered difficulties with upkeep on the current scoreboard.
“The current scoreboard out there is the original scoreboard at that facility. We’re having a really rough time finding parts and getting repairs made to that scoreboard. We thought it would be a good use of those funds to put a new scoreboard in.”
Mobley adds that Bluestone Engineering will help with bidding out the project once the design and specifications for the new scoreboard are set.
