This week’s theme for Thursdays in Pella featured local first responders and military veterans. Heroes Among Us highlighted emergency response vehicles from Pella Fire, Ambulance, and Police, as well as the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the various dogs supporting those organizations. Activities were also hosted by local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. American Legion Post 89 had a presentation of colors on the Tulip Toren, followed by a reading of local flag essay winners and a demonstration by Pella Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio is broadcasting weekly from Thursdays in Pella.
