The first day of the 2023 Marion County Fair is in the books.

Kicking off the festivities of this year’s fair was the Dog Obedience Show, where the following awards were presented to these individuals.

Champion Pre-Novice Agility – Madelyne Reick

Champion Novice Agility – Ben Arends

Champion Open Agility – Tobias Wilkening

Champion Intro Class – Gideon McNeely

Champion Beginner Novice A – Olin Johnston

Champion Beginner Novice B – Owen Atwater

Champion Preferred Novice B – Tobias Wilkening

Champion Novice B – Heaven Wooldridge

Champion Graduate Novice A – Elisha Bacon

Champion Rally Novice A – Gideon McNeely

Champion Rally Novice B – Owen Atwater

Champion Junior Dog Showman – Tenner Weldon

Champion Intermediate Dog Showman – Tobias Wilkening

Champion Senior Dog Showman – Elisha Bacon

Much of the day was focused on animal check in for shows that will be held today through Tuesday. Concluding the opening day of the 2023 fair was the grandstand show that featured multiple time award winning country music artist Sara Evans with Walker Montgomery.
