The main road between Knoxville and Pella will start construction this upcoming spring. 

 

The bridge on Highway T-15, which goes over the BNSF Railroad, will go out for bid in August and construction for the project will be underway in late winter or early spring of 2024. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says this lengthy project will affect many commuters in the county. 

 

“It is unlikely that construction will start this fall but next spring, maybe even late winter we will start to see a detour going up and a road closure for that project which will have a five to six month impact for a lot of commuters here in Marion County.”
