The Pella School Board is holding the second of two summer meetings Monday. The board will receive its monthly construction report on progress at the Early Childhood Center and its first update about the Jefferson-Middle School connector. Also on the agenda is to consider a final contract for phase I of the Early Childhood Center with Sandstone Management, approval of the 2023-24 board meeting schedule, review of Marion County’s Hazard Mitigation plan, approval of a foreign exchange student application, and to set a public hearing for the district’s Child Internet Protection Act policy review on August 14th. A work session will also be held to review legislative priorities for the 2024 Legislative Session. At the end of the meeting, the board will discuss the upcoming elections and the process to get on the ballot.
