While County Highway T-15 over the Red Rock Dam has once again reopened, regular closures will be in place for the foreseeable future.
Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says the Marion County Road Department is in a partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Red Rock for improvements to the road, with the federal government ultimately responsible for the bridge on the dam itself.
“That will be ongoing for the remainder of this construction season and possibly into next calendar year, as well with intermediate lane closures and occasional full closures of the T-15 road across Red Rock Dam.”
Christian says they will work with the park rangers at Lake Red Rock to notify the public when the road is either fully closed or down to one lane of traffic, with another potential closure expected by the end of this month.
