The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday evening.
There was a public hearing to approve a contract for the Veterans Park Trails Connection Project. A Resolution accepting a bid, awarding a contract and approving the certificate of insurance for the project passed unanimously. A bid was accepted from Howrey Construction out of Rockwell City for just over $376,000.
A resolution passed directing the sale of an interest in real property, and the council approved an offer to purchase a lot in the Veterans district for $31,000
The council also approved an ordinance amending city code to add a new chapter entitled Ambulance Service and approved sign-on bonuses for EMTs and paramedics. An update was given on the status of the Knoxville Facade project as well at the meeting.
