Some of the statistical leaders for the Knoxville Softball Squad this summer were also among the state’s best in class 4A. Ashlyn Finarty led the Panthers in batting with a .444 average, which was also in the top 20 in class 4A. Ciara Heffron led the Panthers with 38 hits and she also was good in the circle with 108 strikeouts. Finarty had the 9th best ERA in class 4A with a 1.77. The Panthers also cranked out 34 home runs this summer, 22 between Heffron and Brittany Bacorn. Their 11 respective bombs were good enough for 8th in class 4A and as a team was 4th in the state. Knoxville finished the season in the regional semi-final with a 15-14 record.
