It’s been a busy summer for a pair of Pella wrestlers who earlier this summer earned All-American status at various tournaments. Emmalee Spurgeon and Elaine Babcock were participants on Team Iowa at the 16U women’s freestyle wrestling national championships in Fargo, North Dakota. Spurgeon was a top 24 finisher and Babcock was a top 32 placewinner in their respective weight classes. Both will continue their offseason summer tour at Junior Olympics.
