A Bussey man was arrested on Tuesday for several different drug related charges.
Just after 2:00pm on Tuesday, members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 605 5th Street in Bussey. After the search was conducted, 64-year-old Stephen Lorenz was arrested and taken into custody. Lorenz was charged with three felonies, including a controlled substance violation, possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, and failure to affix a drug stamp.
Upon search of the residence, a ziploc bag containing 17 grams of methamphetamine was located, along with two smaller bags of methamphetamine, a loose crystalline substance, a digital scale, and packaging material. Marajuana and a box containing magic mushroom chocolate was also seized from the home.
Lorenz also faces two misdemeanor charges and is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a $16,300 bond.
