The City of Indianola is holding a walkthrough event for the grant recipients of the 2023 Downtown Façade and Interior Improvement Program this afternoon, touring six properties that were awarded up to $25,000 in grant funding for facade and interior improvements.

A total of nineteen applications were submitted and eventually six projects were awarded including:

• Upper-story housing renovation/roof repair at 105 1⁄2 Howard Street
• Exterior façade improvements at Warren County Abstract and Title (215 West Salem
Avenue)
• Complete renovation of the storefront façade at Hair MD (217 West Salem Avenue).
• Complete renovation of the storefront façade at Bob’s Custom Trophies (216 West Salem
Avenue)
• Complete renovation of the storefront façade at The Zoo Bar (102 West Ashland
Avenue)
• Restoration and relighting of the historic Harrison’s sign

A total of $257,330 will be invested into Indianola’s Downtown Square through the six projects that were awarded in this funding cycle. The walking tour begins today at 2:30pm, at the corner of S Howard and W Salem.
