The Indianola School Board received an update from Invision Architecture regarding what the updated Indianola High School will look like after the Replace-In-Place Project is completed. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News one of the biggest aspects of the new space will be taking advantage of new strategies of schooling, including areas for students to be more independent and work in smaller groups.
“It’ll be more of a collaborative area. All the classrooms will have natural light, they’ll have areas where kids can work out in the hallway or in breakout rooms, and really give them the opportunity to move forward educationally instead of just being in a smaller classroom sitting. Right now we are being out in the hallways where it’s cramped and tight, it really opens it up and moves it forward into that 21st century learning opportunity for our kids.”
