Six Knoxville Softball Players earned all-conference designation from the South Central Conference this summer. On the 1st team was Ashlyn Finarty and Ciara Heffron. Finarty went 8-5 on the season in the circle and had a 1.77 ERA, plus she hit eight home runs.

Heffron hit 11 home runs plus also had a good summer in the circle, striking out 108 batters.

Earning 2nd team all-South Central Conference was Brittany Bacorn, who along with Heffron led the Panthers with 11 home runs. Charlye Willis was also on the 2nd team. Her improved slap hitting earned her a .370 batting average as the lead off batter. Getting honorable mention was Emma Dunkin and Addy Dunkin.

Coach Carla Smith was glad to get both of her seniors on the All-Conference list and was happy with their leadership this season.

Smith: “You can’t have better leadership than that in your seniors. It was hard to end the year and have to say goodbye to them when we were fighting so hard.”

Knoxville finished 15-14 the summer and tied for 3rd place in the South Central Conference with a 9-5 record.
