
Martensdale-St. Mary’s fell to North Linn in the class 1A state championship game Friday 6-0. The Blue Devils couldn’t keep up with the Lynx, falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, then gave up three runs in the third to trail 5-0, before adding another in the fourth for the only offense of the contest. Martensdale-St. Mary’s threatened with runners on base in several opportunities, but couldn’t drive any across the plate. They end their season with a 27-7 record and a Pride of Iowa Conference championship.
