Over 70 entries are already submitted to participate in the Celebrate Warren County Parade that will take place on Saturday. Last year’s inaugural parade included over sixty entrants and hundreds of participants in attendance that featured veterans, first responders, balloon carriages, volunteer groups, and local businesses.
Balloon pilot Holly Jean Pfeifer has been named as the Grand Marshal of the parade. Pfeifer is the pilot of Cherry Bomb, and was the winner of the 2020 and the 2022 US Women’s National Hot Air Balloon Championships, and has now been invited to fly in the Federation Aeronautique Internationale in Australia later this year.
Indianola Hometown Pride is asking participants to sign up now, with the parade taking place July 29th. Line-up begins at 9:30am at Memorial Park near Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Find more information below.
