Aaron Reutzel had not had the 360 out in a while, and with the Nationals looming, he decided to run the 360 motor on Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway and dominated the A-Main going largely unchallenged to win his 4th race of the season at Knoxville. Reutzel took the lead from Jamie Ball on the 1st lap and was never seriously challenged as the race went caution free. Garet Williamson did cut Reutzel’s lead to around a half-second, but never got any closer and lost ground late in the race. Reutzel said in victory lane, the motor he had was the one he won the 360 Nationals with last year, and recent Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame Inductee Don Long was responsible for it.

Reutzel: “I don’t think it’s been run since then. Two practice nights before the Nationals, we blew the dust off of her, and I’m excited to have that motor back in.”

Kade Higday played a waiting game in the Pro Sprints A-Main as he waited for the right time to pound on Mike Johnston and lead from lap nine to the finish for his 7th career win at Knoxville. In the 410s, Brian Brown led from start to finish and never had a challenge as he took his 65th career win at the Knoxville Raceway. There is just one more race before the Nationals get going and that is Saturday as the All-Star Circuit of Champions makes their annual visit to the Knoxville Raceway.
