We begin our top ten countdown of memorable sports moments for Knoxville today with #10. We go to the spring on May 4th as the Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad for the second straight season won the South Central Conference Title. Unlike the previous year, when the Panthers snuck out with a four point win over runner-up Albia, Knoxville thoroughly dominated the night and lapped the field scoring 181 points and beating runners-up Davis County and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont by 64 points. Knoxville earned seven gold medals in the event including, T.J. DeJong in 200, 400 and long jump. Cole Carter in the 400 hurdles, Koby Higginbotham in the 110 hurdles, Kaden Curry in the 800 and the 4×100 meter relay team all went home with first place finishes. Knoxville also took home five 2nd place medals and three 3rd place medals. Coach Eric Kellar said it was an amazing performance by the whole team.
