Payton Lyons was Pella High School’s nominee for the E. Wayne Cooley “YOU CAN” award. It is presented to an athlete who must show the elements of good character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship). This athlete influenced their team in a positive manner while demonstrating great character, overcoming great odds or sacrifice.
