Kicking off our countdown of the top ten moments at PCM this past school year is the girls basketball team ending their regular season with a 58-46 upset win over South Hamilton on Tuesday, February 7th.

The Mustang girls proved up to the challenge early against the Class 2A #13 ranked Hawks, starting the game with a 10-0 run in the opening four minutes. South Hamilton responded with a 14-7 run to cut PCM’s lead to 17-14 at the end of the first quarter, but the Mustangs 20-point second quarter pushed their advantage back up to 35-25 by halftime. PCM’s defense propelled them to outscore the Hawks in the third period 17-8 and helped them withstand South Hamilton winning the fourth quarter 13-6. Tori Lindsay followed up a career-high 26 points on Friday, February 3rd with a 23-point performance against South Hamilton. Addison and Sophia Steenhoek and Madie Reed all contributed eight points in the victory as well.
