Members of the Pella Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office participated in a running challenge to honor fallen officers this past weekend. The group participated in a 4x4x48 challenge, and Sgt. Brad Vincent from Pella and Sgt. Isaac Short from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office completed 48 miles in 48 hours. Among those they ran for were fallen Pella PD Officer John Van Haaften and Marion County Deputy Harold Gates. Read more about their journey on the Pella Police Department Facebook page.
