Dan-D Farms in Knoxville has started their annual sweet corn sales.

 

Dan Dennison is well known for his sweet corn, which is grown at his farm south of Knoxville and he is hoping for another successful season. Sweet corn stands start popping up all over the state this time of year and the corn from Dan-D’s is a familiar favorite for Knoxville residents.

 

Although drought has been a tough battle for farmers all over Iowa, Dennison is still providing the community with the popular Iowa staple. Dan-D Farms started selling their corn on July 3rd ,but the farm also is a popular destination later in the year for pumpkins and Christmas trees. 

 

You can find Dan-D’s sweet corn in the parking lot of Knoxville Farm and Home which is next to Mcdonalds in Knoxville. However, Dennison gives a different description of where his stand is located.

“A lot of people tell people the stand is by Mcdonalds but I tell people Mcdonalds is by our stand.”
