A late summer heat wave is starting to settle in today. According to the National Weather Service, daytime highs will approach the mid-to-upper 90s for the next several days, with heat index values getting toward 100 and even higher. Those with outdoor plans should remain hydrated and plan to stay indoors whenever possible. Overnight lows in the low-to-mid 70s will also produce little relief.
