Knoxville Hospital and Clinics recently received a $40,000 donation from Elmer “Jipe” Pearson and his children.

The donation to the foundation was in memory of Jipe’s wife of 70 years who passed away in April at the age of 91. The Pearsons have designated their contribution toward the hospital’s emergency room renovation.

Five generations of Pearson’s family have called Knoxville home and the gift to the hospital is a tribute to their strong family bond and values. The emergency room project is expected to begin in early 2024.
