We move to our #8 moment in the top ten countdown of Knoxville Sports Stories. Running through a conference unbeaten is not a common occurrence, usually a team will have a bad night or stumble once or even more times. But for the Knoxville Baseball Squad, that never happened this summer as the Panthers for the most part dominated all 21 games in the South Central Conference to wrap up a 21-0 season. Sure some of the games were closer than what should have been like the walk off extra innings victory over Cardinal. The Panthers outscored the competition in the conference 186-41. Coach Turner Devore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, he made sure they were ready for each conference game so they could check off that box for the season.

Devore: “We did have a great season, I thought I pushed these kids to the limit, and it was a fun ride to send the seniors out on such a great season.”

At one point during the season, the Panthers went 27 straight innings of shutout ball against conference teams.
