Counting down the top moments of the 2022-23 year for Indianola High School continuing with #6.

The Indianola boys golf team had a stellar year in the fall, one that earned them a spot at the class 4A state golf meet where they would finish in 10th.

The Indians were led by Preston Bily who shot a 149 to finish in a tie for 10th, Jackson Overton finished in a tie for 17th with a 153, and Willie Nelson earned a tie for 28th with a 156. Bily tells KNIA Sports the Indians knew going into the district meet they would be able to compete amongst the best in the state, and qualifying to the meet proved it.

The Indians graduate only two athletes from the squad, Bily and Overton, who were both named All-State after their performances at state.
