While there was no severe weather in Marion County officially, strong winds and heavy rain impacted some communities late Friday night. A tree was damaged on the north side of Pella as a cold front brought between a 1/4″ to 3/4″ of needed rain and relief from oppressive heat. According to the National Weather Service, much more seasonal days are ahead, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s expected for the next several days.
