Counting down the top moments of the 2022-23 year for Indianola High School continuing with #5.

The Indians boys and girls track and field teams had good showings at the class 4A state track and field meet this season, which included multiple top-three finishes. sophomore Kendall McDaniel threw a 40-00 in the shot put to place 2nd. McDaniel said she hadn’t been able to hit 40-00 all season long, and doing it at state was a big moment.

“It was so exciting. I’ve been working towards that all year, that’s been my goal all year, and I’m so excited I’ve finally hit it.”

Logan Piper followed up his impressive junior campaign by cutting time from his 400m Hurdles and finished in 3rd place.
