Counting down the top moments of the 2022-23 year for Indianola High School continuing with #4. The Indianola volleyball team knew they had a special opportunity at the beginning of the season, combining seasoned veterans with young talent, and took advantage of that by securing a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season title and first place in the conference tournament. The accolades did not stop there however, as Indianola swept Winterset in the regional semifinals, and did the same to ADM in the regional finals to advance to the class 4A state tournament. Junior setter Tori Runyan said the team has been on the precipice for the last several years, and getting to state was a surreal experience. The team graduated just three seniors as they prepare for a return trip in 2023.
