The Pella City Council is adopting an ordinance for the Scholte Garden Historic District. The approval at Tuesday’s meeting forms a historic overlay zone along Main and Broadway Streets between Lincoln and Washington. A special event permit request for city tours this Saturday from Pella Historical Museums, a resolution for an amendment to a flex spending plan with Sisco, and the second reading of an ordinance changing the zoning at 112 East Third Street were all approved. During policy and planning, the council discussed proposed changes to mobile food units in the community and begin the process of updating the next comprehensive plan for the city.
