The Indianola Activities Department is looking forward to beginning practices for the fall of the 2023-24 school year, and will look to model their year after the successful seasons that just ended in the summer for the 22-23 school year. Activities Director Lee Nelson tells KNIA Sports the first priority is education, and he feels the Indianola coaches for all sports are all committed to the student part of the student-athletes, however getting wins and accolades for the teams are fun too.

“When you talk success as the wins and losses, it was definitely a year to remember for our department. The different teams that qualified to state, then doing down to the conference level having the success that we did throughout the year, that is nice too. It really was a special year for our programs.”

Nelson also said he thanks the community for getting behind many of the teams regardless of their success.
