More rounds of needed rain fell over the weekend. Several rain gauges received between 1/2″ to an inch and a 1/2 of precipitation since Saturday. The following 48-hour precipitation totals were recorded locally:

Lake Red Rock – .67″
Knoxville – .77″
Pella – .95″
Indianola – .83″
Ackworth – 1.35″

Many locations have received between 1-3″ over the past week. Most of the region remained in moderate drought as of last week’s U.S. Drought Monitor Report. Additional chances for rain return by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.
