The 2022-2023 school year was kind to the sports teams at Pella Christian High School.

As highlighted over the past two weeks, the Eagles had several exciting moments, including seven teams being featured at State in their respective sports. Pella Christian Athletic Director Dan Branderhorst said that while their success in competition this past school year might be the best during his tenure, what makes 2022-2023 special is the growth he saw from each team.

“The reality is, it’s so much more than that for us. I feel like our student athletes grew and matured. I feel like our coaches lead so well, they develop relationships, they really care for the whole student body, they care for each other they care for other programs that they’re not involved with. And so, I feel like now more than ever, things are rolling here at Pella Christian. Our Eagles are taking flight if you will, and it’s been really special.”

Branderhorst added that while he isn’t sure what the on-field success will look like this school year, he is looking forward to see more growth from student-athletes away from competition.
