The City of Pleasantville is going to be host to three different community events on Saturday, August 26th.

The busy day will kick off with a “Save East Elementary” informational event which will give community members an opportunity to ask questions about the purchase of East Elementary school. Ice cream, pie and brownies will be provided.

The second event is called “Discover Plesantville” and it is a way to showcase different clubs and organizations that Pleasantville offers in a career fair setting.

The day will conclude with a celebration at Pleasantville Christian Church to show appreciation to the community for helping the church rebound after a fire destroyed the former building in 2020.  There will be food and live music.

Friends of Webb Shadle Director Jennifer Latch says it is exciting to have a day like this in Pleasantville.

“You’re going to see the best side of people offering their organizations and how to help people, how to reach out and communicate. It’s just going to be a great day for connecting and I think that is something people are longing for in this day and age.”
