The Knoxville City Council voted to approve a resolution to adopt the Hazard Mitigation Plan at their meeting on Monday.

Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery says this lays out what steps would be taken if a chemical disaster happened in the community. 

“Ensuring at the local level, the county level, and the state level that we are all working together to mitigate any type of disaster that would happen; those are the steps that we would take.”
