The Pella Knights of Columbus are aiming to top a record breaking fundraising year for their annual Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. In 2022, Organizer Joe Lickteig says a total of just over $60,000 was raised to support the Pella and Pella Christian Special Education departments, Christian Opportunity Center, 818 Forward with Faith, and the Iowa Special Olympics. Members of the Knights will be at the Pella Hy-Vee, Fareway, and Walmart Stores from Saturday, August 19th through Saturday, August 26th collecting donations and the fourth annual Pellathon returns on Wednesday, August 30th from 1 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church.
