Membership of the Indianola Wellness Campus is available, and former Indianola YMCA members who want to use the facility will need to register for membership. Executive Director Heather Hulen tells KNIA News the membership to the YMCA of Greater Des Moines does not get automatically canceled, nor get transferred automatically to the Wellness Campus.

“You have to do something, it’s not just gonna happen automatically. Memberships are not going to be terminated or canceled with the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, if you didn’t cancel and you want to you have to contact them, we unfortunately are unable to help with that for anybody now. If they are wanting to get a membership, take a tour, or come and get a guest pass to try us out, we would love for them to come out any time.”

Hulen also said she is excited about the opportunities to collaborate with other city departments such as Parks and Rec, in addition to the Indianola Community School District and Simpson College.
