Knoxville Nationals Queen Abbey Jackson has loved growing up in the racing community.
Abbey was crowned Nationals Queen on Tuesday night. She grew up in Knoxville, and her dad is legendary sprint car driver Skip Jackson, who is 9th all time in wins at the Knoxville Raceway.
Abbey says racing is able to bring everyone together in Knoxville.
“I think anybody in Knoxville would say our community is the best part. We’re such a small town, but everybody knows each other and it’s such a good place to call home and I think that community mixed with the racing community is just a surreal experience. Getting the support from people all over the world that do not know you, but love the sport of racing. It just brings everybody together.”
Abbey is currently a student at Iowa State University and was a graduate of Knoxville High School. Hear more from Abbey on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
