The Indianola City Council discussed their participation in Warren County Dispatch and the upcoming potential restructure, including the city’s participation in dispatch moving forward. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News discussions with the Warren County Board of Supervisors have been ongoing, and the city has been invited to participate in a panel that will help select a new director of Warren County Dispatch. Reeves said it was included in the work session to get council feedback on the upcoming process.
“We’re going to be having a meeting in September with the three entities that are involved in dispatch, trying to create a new entity, figure out how we’re going to be structured. As part of that, I wanted to give the opportunity for the council to give me some direction as I continue to work with my counterparts at the county. We think this is a really good thing for the residents, not only for the City of Indianola but all of Warren County.”
