The Norwalk boys golfers will open the Warrior fall sports season on Monday, taking part in the Ankeny Centennial Jesse Peck Invitational. The eight-team tournament starts at noon and will be held at Briarwood Golf Club in Ankeny.

The Warriors graduated four seniors off last year’s squad, which finished the season by placing sixth in district play. Juniors Grady Sigrist and Braylon Stockwell are the top returning varsity golfers. Sigrist shot a district round of 74 and missed qualifying for state by one stroke.

Norwalk opens the season with two meets this week, also competing against Des Moines Roosevelt in a Thursday afternoon dual at the Waveland Golf Course in Des Moines.
