The Indianola Wellness Campus is in Phase 1 of a three-phase plan to introduce more services to members, after transitioning from the Indianola YMCA over the last several weeks. Executive Director Heather Hulen tells KNIA News now that the facility is a city entity, they will use the partnership with Parks and Rec to host many of the activities, while the facility itself will focus on wellness and health. Hulen said they will continue to offer the workout and wellness programs that they did before.

“Most of our program instructors have come over, so we are offering the same programming that we did before. Which is awesome because we still have the great staff that we had before. We are really excited to be able to continue to deliver the great services and programming that we were before, and are planning to enhance those. Once we get to Phase 3, that’s when we really start to be able to take the handcuffs off, what we weren’t able to do before we can do what we really want to do.”
