Moderate drought remains in place throughout most of south central Iowa, according to the latest report. Severe conditions continue in southeast Marion County as well. While several recent rounds of rainfall have been beneficial, a dry trend continues. While it’s a cool start to the week, temperatures will gradually increase over the next several days heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service, with little to no chance for significant rainfall on the immediate horizon.
