The Twin Cedars Football Squad has been practicing a little longer than most, because the Sabers have a week zero game this Friday against Colo-NESCO. The Sabers have nine scheduled games with home dates including this Friday September 1st against BGM, September 15th with arch-rival Melcher-Dallas, September 29th against HLV and October 6th against Belle Plaine. Road games include August 25th against Lamoni, September 8th against Murray, September 22nd against Moravia and October 13th against Montezuma. The Sabers finished 2-8 last season. According to Bound, the Sabers have 22 players on the roster.
