While the Pella volleyball team has enjoyed recent overall success, they haven’t been able to reach the top of the conference — at least on their own, without a tie. In the now seven team league, without Grinnell, the Dutch will aim to compete well against the schools of the Little Hawkeye in 2023. Head Coach Sam Sheldon understands that the challenge will be overcoming some of the recent champions and top teams in the standings, especially Indianola, Norwalk, and DCG — but they also acknowledge that Oskaloosa, Newton, and Pella Christian will be dangerous on any given Tuesday. The Dutch start conference competition on Tuesday, September 5th at DCG. Pella opens the season on the road Tuesday at Fairfield.
