The Simpson College women’s soccer team was picked to finish in second place in the 2023 American rivers Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, receiving 54 points. The second-place prediction is the highest placement since 2001 when the Storm were picked to finish in first. The Storm earned a spot in the American Rivers Conference Tournament championship game last year after upsetting #17 Wartburg in the semifinals, and return multiple key starters including reigning MVP Cassie Nash. The Storm begin their season on September 1st.
